Partially legible text along the bottom edge of the lid confirms the manufacturer as J. W. Spear and Sons Ltd. of Enfield, Middlesex. The set consists of black composite dominoes featuring a distinctive pebbled or leather-grain texture on the faces with recessed white pips.
