Description
An assortment of antique Victorian mathematical and drafting instruments dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. The collection is primarily constructed from brass with steel points and components. Included in the set are several compasses and dividers of varying sizes, extension bars, and a ruling pen featuring a turned white handle, likely bone or ivory. The instruments are housed in a rectangular dark wood case, likely mahogany or rosewood, with a fitted interior lined in purple velvet. The lid features an inset rectangular brass cartouche which is vacant, and a brass escutcheon is fitted to the front.
