A Vintage Engineer's Threading Tap and Die Set in a Fitted Hardwood Case

A vintage set of threading tools designed for cutting internal and external screw threads. The collection is housed in a custom-fitted hardwood case, likely mahogany, featuring specific carved recesses for each component. The tool set comprises a large adjustable die stock handle, a collection of taps of various diameters, several split threading dies, and a small cylindrical tool. The case is constructed with brass hinges and two brass hook-and-eye latches on the front. Two of the loose dies are stamped with fractional measurements of 3/8 and 5/16. The die stock features stamped characters near the adjustment screw mechanism, with No 2 being partially discernible.
