Beswick Ceramic Shire Horse and The Staffordshire Coal Cart, Mid-20th Century

A Beswick shire horse and cart set, comprising a large ceramic Shire horse in a brown gloss glaze with white feathering and a white blaze. The horse retains its original green Beswick England foil label and is dressed in a highly detailed harness featuring leather straps, metal chains, and red fabric padding. The horse is paired with a two-wheeled wooden vehicle titled The Staffordshire Coal Cart, which is fitted with metal-reinforced spoked wheels and a brass identification plaque to the front. The cart is constructed from stained wood with metal brackets and fittings, representing a traditional English industrial vehicle. Horse height approximately 215mm, total length approximately 500mm.
