A collection of railway-related technical literature and general reference volumes. The lot includes several items of primary technical interest: a red cloth-bound Operating Manual for British Railways Type 4 Diesel-Electric Locomotive Nos. D1-D10, featuring Brush-Sulzer traction power equipment; an official brown vinyl-bound ring binder containing manual pages for British Railways Board Class 101 Diesel Multiple Units (Metro-Cammell Ltd); and a blue softbound booklet titled Driving Instructions for Diesel Locomotives and Diesel Trains issued by British Railways, bearing the manuscript initials M.L.D. to the front cover. Reference works include Kington and Le Garsmeur, Steaming Through Britain, published by Hyman; Knous, Railroadiana, published by RRM; and Marre and Withers, The Contemporary Diesel Spotter’s Guide. The collection is supplemented by the Reader’s Digest Illustrated Atlas of the World, Airline Fleets 2000, and a Railway Journeys: Western and Central Europe DVD set. Non-railway material includes a volume on Chinese Astrology. The items are housed in a clear plastic storage container.
