A Pair of Brass and Red Painted Wood Columnar Candlesticks

A pair of tall decorative candlesticks in the Neoclassical style. Each piece is constructed with cast and turned brass elements including a gadrooned drip pan and nozzle, a double-ringed upper collar, and a corresponding gadrooned stepped circular foot. The central shafts are formed from turned wooden columns featuring a deep red painted finish. The design uses the colour contrast between the brass and the red lacquer to emulate a columnar form. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible on the exterior surfaces.
