Description
A seven branched cast brass menorah of a type commonly produced in Israel during the mid to late 20th century. The candelabrum is constructed from cast brass or a similar copper alloy, featuring applied polychrome enamel or paint highlights in shades of green, blue, and reddish brown. The central stem is dominated by an oval medallion depicting the Jerusalem Cross, also known as the Crusaders Cross, consisting of a large central cross potent with four smaller crosses in the quadrants. The out sweeping arms are decorated with stylized scrolling foliate motifs accented with green and blue. The word JERUSALEM is inscribed in capitalized block letters across the top horizontal support, with each letter positioned directly below a candle cup. The stem is secured to a stepped rectangular base via two flathead screws on the underside. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible.
