Lladro 5451 Study Buddies Glazed Porcelain Figurine

A glazed porcelain figure group titled Study Buddies, model number 5451, designed by Regino Torrijos for Lladro. The scene depicts a young boy in a pink and white striped cap and a blue sweater, lying on his stomach on a grassy base while reading a book. A small black and white dog is perched on the boy’s back, and both the boy and dog appear to be looking at a small bird resting on a nearby branch. A small stack of books tied with a cord sits on the ground beside him. The figurine is decorated in a traditional pastel palette. The base of the figurine features a blue printed Lladro factory mark with the bell symbol, Hand Made in Spain, and copyright DAISA 1987. The model number 5451 and the code D-21 E are incised into the porcelain.
