Description
A mid-20th-century illuminated religious wall plaque of flared trapezoidal form, in the style of Italian mid-century devotional art. The central feature is an oval glass-covered pictorial insert depicting Saint Anthony of Padua holding the Christ Child and a lily. This central image is mounted onto a wood-effect laminate board with a raised, rounded edge. The reverse is constructed with a hardboard panel secured by four screws, containing an internal light socket designed to back-light the central image. The item is fitted with a twin-core electrical cord and plug. A small printed label to the reverse carries the characters G09A02920, and a modern auction lot sticker is present.
