The tube contains a clear liquid and four internal glass floats of varying buoyancy, each featuring coloured glass sections in orange, yellow, green, and blue. Every float has a circular, silver-toned metal tag suspended from its base. The numbers 23 and 25 are clearly stamped on the visible tags, representing temperature gradients in degrees Celsius. No manufacturer marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the glass tube or base.
