A late Victorian mahogany sideboard featuring a rectangular top with a low raised gallery back and scrolled side brackets decorated with carved husk motifs. The leading edge of the top is finished with a continuous gadrooned border. The front elevation comprises three frieze drawers, each fitted with ornate cast brass drop handles on decorative foliate backplates. The interior of the central drawer is partitioned for linens, and one side drawer contains a cellarette compartment divided for bottles. Below the drawers, the central section features an open recessed niche above a small double-door cupboard, flanked by two larger cupboard doors with raised oval-moulded central panels. The whole is raised on a continuous heavy plinth base.
