A Collection of Wade Porcelain and Ceramic Figurines including a Viking Longboat

A collection of glazed ceramic and porcelain items by Wade, England. The group features a decorative dish modelled as a Viking longboat, dating from the mid-20th century. The vessel is constructed with a dragon-head prow, a stylized stern, and a hull decorated with embossed circular shields. Also included are two figurines featuring animals seated within basket-weave textured bases, depicting a tabby cat and a terrier-style dog. The collection further comprises a tortoise figurine with a moulded, textured shell finished in a variegated brown and dark green glaze, and a small seated cub figurine in a monochromatic light brown glaze. Visible markings include embossed stamps to the bases reading WADE PORCELAIN MADE IN ENGLAND and WADE ENGLAND. The tortoise base is also marked with the numeral 2.
