Description
A collection of Mason’s ironstone tableware decorated in the Christmas Village pattern, designed by Marsten-Mandrajji and dated 1983. The pieces feature transfer-printed folk-art style winter scenes depicting snow-covered buildings, evergreen trees, figures in horse-drawn sleighs, and flying angels. Each item is finished with a thin red line border following the scalloped or shaped rims. The group comprises two square bowls with gadroon edges, one large divided serving dish in the form of a Christmas tree with three internal sections, one small Christmas tree-shaped dish, and one small circular bowl with a scalloped rim. The underside of the pieces bears a black printed mark featuring the Mason’s crown device above a banner reading IRONSTONE MADE IN ENGLAND, accompanied by the text Christmas Village, © Mason’s Ironstone 1983, Designed by MARSTEN-MANDRAJJI.
