A Trio of Crown Staffordshire Fine Bone China Hunting Scene Plates

This trio of fine bone china plates is produced by Crown Staffordshire in the Hunting Scene pattern. The set comprises one square plate with a lobed, scalloped rim and two circular plates of graduated sizes. Each piece is decorated with transfer-printed illustrations featuring hand-painted colour highlights. The motif depicts a traditional English fox hunt arranged in concentric bands, showing packs of hounds, huntsmen in traditional pink coats on horseback, and the fox, interspersed with rural cottages, fences, and trees. The underside of each plate bears a green printed factory mark featuring a crown emblem and the text FINE BONE CHINA, CROWN, ESTD 1801, and STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND. The mark also includes the pattern title Hunting Scene and the descriptive text Beloved pattern of horse lovers it depicts the chase in vivid colours.
