Description
A wall clock fashioned from a Royal Imperial bone china plate. The piece features a blue and white transferware design in the Chinoiserie style, specifically the Blue Willow pattern, depicting a central pictorial scene with architectural elements and figures, surrounded by foliate and geometric borders. The dial is integrated into the plate face, featuring black Roman numerals and the word QUARTZ printed at the three o’clock position. It is fitted with ornate, black-finished metal hands and a gilt-edged rim. The reverse of the plate bears the Royal Imperial maker’s mark with a crown symbol and the words BONE CHINA. The clock is powered by a German-made Hermle Quartz 2100 battery-operated movement, which is housed in a black plastic casing on the reverse.
