A Maasai style hand-carved wooden decorative mask

A contemporary hand-carved wooden decorative mask produced in the Maasai style of East Africa. The object is fashioned from wood and finished with deep brown and reddish-orange stains. The design features a high, rounded forehead with a central vertical ridge, embellished with incised geometric and cross-hatched patterns highlighted with a contrasting yellow-orange pigment. The face includes almond-shaped eye apertures and a prominent, open crescent-shaped mouth. Two elongated rectangular pendants descend from the jawline. A carved loop is integrated at the top for wall mounting.
