Lot 283:
Description
A pair of mid-20th-century glassware items comprising a cream jug and a sugar bowl, in the style of pink depression glass. Both pieces are constructed from transparent pink glass with a flared, conical profile. The set is decorated with transfer-printed fruit and floral motifs, including apples and berries in shades of yellow, blue, and red. Both items feature a gilt-decorated rim, with the cream jug displaying an additional gilt band around the base. The jug is fitted with a pulled spout and an applied C-scroll handle. These items are characteristic of mid-20th-century mass-produced tableware. While similar items are sometimes attributed to manufacturers such as Fenton, no maker marks or signatures are visible on either piece to confirm a specific origin.
Dimensions: Small tabletop scale. (A £1 coin is included in the images for scale).
