A polychrome glazed ceramic character jug, modeled as a bearded man wearing a large red beret and black garment, depicting the artist Rembrandt. The handle is decoratively formed in the shape of an artist’s palette and a cluster of paintbrushes. The underside of the base features faint, blurred grey and black markings that are not clearly legible, though the form and decoration are attributed to Royal Doulton.
