The sculpture depicts a pensive, bearded man in rustic attire, wearing a straw hat, a plaid shirt with suspenders, and trousers. The figure is seated upon a textured wooden-style bench on a ground-effect base detailed with pebbles and grass. At his feet sit a mug and a satchel. The underside of the base features moulded marks reading Ref. No. 836 SOLITUDE, a grid containing various symbols, and NATURECRAFT LTD. ENGLAND.
