Kingston Pottery character jug depicting Queen Elizabeth I, a D.H. Love Production. The glazed ceramic vessel is modelled with the monarch wearing a high pleated ruff and a dark blue-grey crown over reddish-brown hair. The scroll-form handle is finished in a matching dark blue-grey glaze. The base features incised marks reading MADE IN ENGLAND and ELIZABETH I. A circular black backstamp is present in the centre, reading KINGSTON POTTERY A D.H. LOVE PRODUCTION surrounding a shield-shaped crest.
