Description
A late Victorian style silver plated toast rack of rectangular form. The base is decorated with intricate pierced scrollwork and foliate motifs, supported by four spherical ball feet. The rack is composed of seven lobed wire dividers, providing six slots for toast. A central vertical handle terminates in a decorative trefoil-shaped finger loop. The upper surface of the base is stamped with a series of four maker’s marks, including pseudo-hallmarks typical of English electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) production from the late 19th to early 20th century. Approximately 15 cm in length.
