Description
A single Poole Pottery earthenware art pottery vase of squat, bulbous form with a wide, straight-sided cylindrical neck. The exterior is decorated in a thick, mottled Lapis or Chinese Blue style glaze, featuring a speckled, multi-tonal appearance. The interior is finished with a contrasting smooth glaze in a soft mauve or purple hue. The rim is finished with a thin, unglazed brown edge. The base features a clear impressed square manufacturer’s mark for CARTER STABLER ADAMS LTD / POOLE ENGLAND, a mark used between approximately 1921 and 1934. Dimensions: Not specified.
