The exterior is decorated in a thick, mottled Lapis or Chinese Blue style glaze, featuring a speckled, multi-tonal appearance. The interior is finished with a contrasting smooth glaze in a soft mauve or purple hue. The rim is finished with a thin, unglazed brown edge.
