Description
A collection of 30 vintage 10-inch shellac records, 78 RPM, primarily UK pressings from the mid-20th century. The lot includes various popular artists and orchestras of the era, notably Glenn Miller and His Orchestra performing American Patrol – Fox-Trot (His Master’s Voice, B.D. 5942), Ted Heath and His Music performing The Creep (Decca, F. 10222), and Pat Boone with Billy Vaughn’s Orchestra performing Bernardine (London American Recordings, HL-D.8445). Labels represented include Decca (The Supreme Record), London American Recordings (recorded by DOT, Hollywood), and His Master’s Voice (HMV). The records are housed in a contemporary cardboard shipping box with protective bubble wrap and tissue paper. Provenance includes a contemporary owner’s name sticker for Shelagh Cook on the Glenn Miller HMV label.
