G79 Weekly General Auction Monday
Lot 245:
Description
A single German Wehrmacht collar tab (Kragenspiegel) dating from the Second World War era (c. 1935–1945). This insignia features two silver-grey machine-woven braids (Litzen) mounted on a dark “bottle-green” wool base. Each braid is detailed with a central pink (rosa) stripe, which served as the Waffenfarbe (corps colour) for Panzer (Armoured) units. This specific construction is characteristic of the “universal” style used by officers and certain non-commissioned officer ranks on the standard field blouse (Feldbluse). The reverse retains its original stiffened buckram backing. As an item from the Third Reich era, it is intended for historical study and collection.
