A Collection of Ten Porcelain Collector Plates with Feline Designs including Items Attributed to Lesley Anne Ivory

A collection of ten porcelain decorative collector plates, each featuring various feline subjects in a range of artistic styles. The group includes several designs attributed to artist Lesley Anne Ivory for the Danbury Mint, notably a stylized black cat silhouette with an Art Nouveau-inspired border and detailed breed portraits including a Siamese and a white Persian, each framed by intricate floral and patterned surrounds. Other plates in the collection depict kittens in realistic photographic settings, such as a tabby in a garden and a pair in a wooden box, alongside narrative illustrations including a kitten amongst Christmas toys and a nursery scene with multiple white cats. The plates are constructed from porcelain with transfer-printed designs. Most are circular with gilded rims, while one smaller plate features a decorative scalloped edge and gilded border. Five of the plates are currently fitted with metal wire spring-tension plate hangers for wall display.
