A Vintage Cut Glass Lidded Bonbon Dish

A vintage clear cut glass lidded bowl, suitable for use as a bonbon dish or honey jar. The item is of two-part construction, featuring a circular bowl and a matching domed lid. The decoration is composed of a central horizontal band of cross-cut diamond patterns, bordered by elongated vertical wedge cuts and flutes. Both the rim of the bowl and the lower edge of the lid are finished with a scalloped, multi-lobed profile. The lid is surmounted by a faceted, bud-shaped finial, while the base of the bowl features a cut starburst pattern. The glass displays high transparency and clarity, characteristic of lead crystal. No maker’s marks, etched signatures, or labels are visible.
