Royal Albert Fine China Constance Pattern Push Button Telephone by Astral

A decorative push-button telephone featuring a fine china ceramic body decorated in the Royal Albert Constance floral pattern. This unit was manufactured in 1991 under licence by Astral International Limited, a company based in Stoke-on-Trent. The design incorporates a circular keypad arrangement intended to resemble a traditional rotary dial, containing numeric buttons 1 to 0, asterisk, and hash symbols. The centre of the dial features function buttons for Redial/Pause and Recall/Flash. The handset and coiled cord are finished in a coordinating cream-coloured plastic. The underside of the base includes functional switches for Dial Pulse/Tone and Ringer Off/On, alongside a standard RJ11 modular jack. Markings include a brown backstamp on the ceramic reading: ROYAL ALBERT, Constance, © 1991 ROYAL ALBERT LTD, FINE CHINA, MADE UNDER LICENCE BY ASTRAL INTERNATIONAL LIMITED. A gold-tone label on the base plate features the Astral logo and model details including REN 1.0 and BABT approval.
