This collection comprises several vintage enamel and gilt metal badges, primarily associated with the Ancient Order of Foresters fraternal society and the British Home Guard. The Home Guard lapel badge is a rectangular blue enamel pin from the World War II period, featuring gilt lettering surmounted by a red and gilt King’s Crown. The Ancient Order of Foresters (AOF) items include a large, ornate gilt metal badge for the Manchester High Court Meeting dated August 1913, displaying polychrome enamel heraldry and banners. Other commemorative AOF badges include a bar-style pin for the Hastings High Court 1960, featuring a shield with three lions passant guardant, and a shield-shaped badge for the Douglas High Court 1963. The collection is completed by three matching circular membership pins featuring green and white enamel with a central hunting horn design and the inscription Unity Benevolence and Concord alongside the letters AOF.
