A rectangular brass pocket box featuring canted corners. The exterior is decorated with an all-over engine-turned lid and sides in a geometric grid pattern. The box is constructed with a hinged opening and an integral curved thumbpiece. The interior is lined throughout with wood. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or signatures are visible on the piece.
