Description
A reproduction corded telephone produced by Astral International Ltd., model The Knightsbridge. The unit is constructed from cream-coloured plastic with chrome-effect metallic accents designed to resemble a 1920s style candlestick or cradle phone. It features a push-button keypad arranged in a circular layout to mimic a traditional rotary dial. The centre of the dial contains buttons for redial/pause and recall/flash. The base underside includes sliding switches for pulse/tone selection and ringer volume (off/on). A manufacturer label on the underside identifies the maker as Astral International Ltd. of Stoke-on-Trent, England, and specifies the model as The Knightsbridge. The label also displays the BABT (British Approvals Board for Telecommunications) logo, a CE mark, and indicates the item was made in China. Both the coiled handset cord and the wall line cord are present.
