Description
An early 20th-century dress ring crafted in 9ct yellow gold. The piece features three graduated round-cut purple stones, presumably amethysts, set within an ornate, scrolled and pierced gallery. The design is finished with decorative carved shoulders leading to a plain band. The interior of the shank is struck with British hallmarks including 9 and .375 for 9 carat gold, the anchor symbol for the Birmingham Assay Office, and the date letter u denoting the year 1919.
