A Pair of Sadler Floral Garland Pattern Ceramic Lidded Vessels

This lot comprises two ceramic items produced by the English manufacturer Sadler. The collection includes a globular ginger jar with a domed lid and a cylindrical trinket box with a matching lid. Both pieces are made from cream-glazed earthenware and are decorated with transfer-printed floral sprays. The central motif features a large pink rose surrounded by smaller blossoms in shades of blue, purple, and yellow, set against green foliage. The trinket box includes gilt-toned lining to the rims of both the lid and the base. Both items bear the impressed SADLER ENGLAND mark on their undersides. Additionally, the trinket box base has a small hand-painted mark in dark pigment resembling the number 4.
