Two Wedgwood Ceramic Dishes comprising a Peter Rabbit Christmas Pin Dish and a Kutani Crane Pattern Scalloped Oval Dish

This lot consists of two small decorative ceramic items manufactured by Wedgwood in England. The first is a circular earthenware pin dish or coaster featuring a transfer-printed illustration from Beatrix Potter, showing Mrs. Rabbit dressing Peter Rabbit. The rim is decorated with a red line and the text Peter Rabbit wishes you a very Merry Christmas. The base is marked for Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston, Made in England, and carries a Frederick Warne and Co. copyright. The second item is an oval bone china dish with a scalloped rim and gilded edge, decorated in the Kutani Crane pattern. This pattern features a central crane amongst stylized oriental flowers and foliage, with additional floral sprays on the inner rim. The base is marked with the Wedgwood bone china stamp and the pattern name.
