Merrythought Jointed Mohair Teddy Bear with Wishbone Logo

A modern collectible teddy bear produced by Merrythought of Ironbridge, Shropshire. The bear is constructed from golden-brown shaggy mohair plush fur and features five-way jointed construction with a movable head and limbs. It has black plastic eyes and a hand-stitched brown thread nose and mouth. The paw pads are finished in a dark brown ribbed fabric. The bear is dressed with a light blue and white patterned ribbon tied around its neck. Markings include a yellow fabric label sewn to the right foot pad printed with Merrythought, Ironbridge Shrops., Made in England, and a central wishbone graphic. The left foot pad features a gold-coloured embroidered wishbone symbol. A white fabric manufacturer’s tag is attached to the rear seam, providing the maker’s details, a CE mark, and a reference to British Standard B.S. 5665/EN71.
