A vintage Waddingtons Videomaster Star Chess dedicated electronic video game console, model VMV14. Produced in Hong Kong, the unit features a dark-textured moulded plastic body protected by a clear plastic hinged lid. The internal layout comprises two integrated control panels for two-player gameplay. Each controller features a four-way directional pad and six multi-coloured buttons labelled Activate, Clear, Warp, Report, Move, and Fire. The central interface includes a built-in speaker grille, toggle switches for Sound (On/Off) and Power (On/Off), and an orange Reset button. A central silver-toned panel is marked Command Manual. An RF cable is permanently attached to the rear of the unit. The underside bears a black adhesive label with printed text identifying the manufacturer as Waddingtons Videomaster Ltd., the model number VMV14, and the serial number 26700.
