A mid-20th-century British portable suitcase-style record player, resembling models produced by Portadyne or Argosy. The unit is housed in a two-tone Rexine-covered case, featuring a cream-coloured woven-texture body with burgundy trim and lid. The interior is finished with a deep red lid lining and a red and white polka-dot patterned speaker baffle. The device incorporates a BSR four-speed turntable mechanism with settings for 16, 33, 45, and 78 RPM, marked Made in England. It is fitted with a grey plastic tonearm and a flip-over style cartridge. Controls include a deck-mounted speed selector and two side-mounted rotary knobs for volume and tone. The player is equipped with an original brown 2-pin bayonet-type power plug.
