Description
A large Mid-Century Modern clear art glass centrepiece bowl, featuring a distinctive elongated, sculptural form with two sweeping, tapered wings or swallowtail points. The piece is constructed from heavy, thick-walled clear glass with a substantial, weighted base. The base contains internal decorative elements consisting of large controlled air bubbles and fluid indentations. This organic, curvilinear design is highly characteristic of French art glass from the mid-20th century and is attributed to makers such as Daum or Sevres. No maker’s signatures or etched marks were visible upon inspection.
Length: Approximately 560mm.
