Description
A mid-20th century salt-glazed stoneware jug of shouldered, tapering form, produced by Lareosa in Portugal. The vessel features a short cylindrical neck with a collared rim and a single loop handle applied from the neck to the shoulder. The jug is finished in a mottled light brown to tan salt glaze, displaying a characteristic orange peel texture throughout. A subtle incised line is present around the shoulder of the vessel. The lower body bears the impressed marks LAREOSA and PORTUGAL.
