A twentieth-century decorative dish realistically cast in brass in the form of a conch or snail shell. The piece features a spiral body tapering to a pointed tip, with a wide aperture forming a shallow bowl. The exterior has a darkened patina highlighting the recessed spiral lines, while the interior shows a lighter metallic finish. Similar items are often produced in India and referred to as a Shankh.
