A Collection of Early 20th Century British Postcards including WWI, Rishton and Humorous Subjects

A collection of vintage postcards dating from the early 20th century, covering the Edwardian and World War I periods, presented in a modern ring-binder album with plastic sleeves. The assembly includes a variety of real photo postcards and printed cards. Notable subject matter includes topographical views of Blackpool and Rishton, patriotic WWI cards such as one titled The Best of Luck Go With You featuring the Union Jack and Royal Standard of Scotland, and various comic illustrations. Curiosities include a biographical card for Harold Pyott, the English Midget, listing his age as 33 and height as 23 inches. Artistic contributions include signed works by Graham Wallace titled They all love Jack and The Girl I left behind me, and a character illustration by D. Tempest.
