The base is textured to represent a cobbled street and features additional details including a wooden crate and several finished pots. The underside of the base is molded with several marks including POTTER, REF No 844 REG © 1974, a crown symbol, NATURECRAFT CONGLETON, ENGLAND, HANDPAINTED, and STONECRAFT. Hand-incised decorator or batch marks FI, BW, U, 50, and a small diamond shape are present within a segmented circular section.
