UK 1976 Christmas First Day Cover and Assortment of Used Machin Definitives

This lot comprises a collection of British philatelic material, primarily focused on a Post Office First Day Cover for the Christmas 1976 issue. The cover features stamps from the medieval embroidery series in denominations of 6 1/2p and 11p, postmarked with a Manchester circular date stamp on 24 NOV 1976. Included in the lot is an assortment of used Queen Elizabeth II Machin head definitives across multiple denominations, such as 1p purple, 2p light green, 3p blue, 10p orange, and 12p dark green. A number of these stamps remain on original paper fragments and exhibit circular date stamps from locations including Manchester, Nottingham, and Stockport, with years such as 1983 visible. The stamps are perforated and appear in commercially used condition. The collection is housed in a clear plastic case.
