A Farrington cream painted quartz mantel clock

A decorative quartz mantel clock of carriage clock form with an architectural case finished in cream paint over a composite wood or MDF body. The tiered top is surmounted by an ornate dark-patinated metal swing handle. The square dial features black Roman numerals and is decorated with a butterfly motif and reproduction cursive script referencing His Excellency the Earl of Ranfurly, Government House, Wellington, and New Zealand. The dial is marked Farrington below the centre. To the reverse, a quartz movement is visible through a circular aperture, marked Made in China, No (0) Jewels Unadjusted, and M2188.
