Two Royal Doulton Bone China Figurines, Bedtime HN 1978 and Darling HN 1985

This lot comprises two Royal Doulton glazed bone china figurines designed by Leslie Harradine. The first figurine, titled Bedtime (model HN 1978), depicts a young girl with light brown hair wearing a long white nightgown with her hands joined in prayer. The second figurine, titled Darling (model HN 1985), depicts a young child in a white nightdress with one hand held to the chin in a contemplative pose. Both figures are mounted on square, black-glazed bases. The underside of Bedtime features a green printed Royal Doulton factory mark with a lion atop a crown, the text Hand made and hand decorated, the model number HN 1978, and a printed facsimile signature for Leslie Harradine with a 1945 copyright date. The underside of Darling features the green printed Royal Doulton factory mark, the title, the model number H.N. 1985, and a 1945 copyright date for Doulton and Co. Limited.
