A vintage silver-plated 18th birthday commemorative goblet

A vintage goblet fashioned from silver plate, produced as an 18th birthday commemorative piece. The bowl is flared in shape and features an applied skeleton key motif to one side, with the circular bow of the key containing a central gold-toned medallion embossed with the numeral 18. This design reflects the British tradition of receiving the key to the door at the age of majority. The bowl is supported by a slender knopped stem on a weighted circular foot. The underside of the foot is impressed with a circular mark reading SILVERPLATED.
