Description

A trio of decorative storage tins designed in the form of traditional British Royal Mail pillar boxes, attributed to Churchill’s Confectionery. Each tin is constructed from lithographed tinplate finished in iconic post-office red. The exterior features a wraparound vintage-style illustration depicting a postman in a blue uniform and peaked cap receiving mail from a young girl in a blue coat and bonnet. The design incorporates several realistic details, including a simulated collection times plate for Monday to Saturday, a white label numbered 2 above the illustrated letter slot, and the GR monogram representing the reign of King George V. Below the monogram is the text POST OFFICE. These tins were originally produced as souvenir packaging for English toffee.

A modern British one pound coin is included in the photograph for scale.
