Two Gilt Metal Decorative Mirrors in the Rococo and Neoclassical Styles

A pair of small decorative mirrors comprising a tabletop easel mirror and a wall-hanging mirror. The tabletop mirror is designed in the Rococo revival style, featuring a cast gilt metal or brass frame with elaborate pierced scrollwork and foliate motifs, accented by a prominent cast rose blossom. The oval mirror plate is encased within a beaded inner border and secured by a card backing with a folding scroll-work easel stand. The circular wall-hanging mirror is executed in the Neoclassical or Empire style, featuring a milled border and a decorative ribbon-and-bow motif to the top. It is suspended by a twin-link chain from a matching circular floral boss intended for wall mounting. Neither piece displays visible maker’s marks.
