Description

A pair of large, bulbous green glass demijohns, also known as carboys, each housed within a protective grey moulded plastic casing. The casings are designed with a horizontal slatted pattern intended to simulate traditional wicker basketry. One unit is fitted with two integral handles at the shoulder. The glass is a deep translucent green, visible at the necks and through the apertures of the outer shells. These vessels were historically used for the fermentation and storage of wine or spirits. One bottle retains a white adhesive label marked 12757 and dated 20 April 2024.

A 150mm scale bar is included in the accompanying photographs for size reference.
