This lot comprises several printed works including books and souvenir guides primarily focused on British heritage and local history. The collection includes a cloth-bound hardcover edition of Hand-Book of Stations, a standard railway reference work. There are three softcover local history titles: Colne As It Was, with photographs selected and introduced by Wilfred Spencer; This Was Nelson by John Bentley; and A Walk Round Castlefield by Derek Brumhead and Terry Wyke. Additionally, there are two site-specific souvenir guides: an official guide for Edinburgh Castle published by Historic Scotland, and a guide for the Royal Armouries Museum featuring a cover image of the museum’s elephant armour. The publications feature various photographic illustrations, ranging from sepia-toned archival images to contemporary colour photography. Handwritten ink annotations are visible on the upper margin of the Colne volume, including the name Banks and a date of 3.2.86.
