Echo Field Command Army Tank Toy - Vintage 1984

A vintage battery-operated, cable-controlled military tank manufactured by Echo Toys Ltd as part of the Field Command series. The toy is constructed from moulded plastic with a three-tone desert camouflage scheme in sand, brown, and off-white. It features flexible rubberised tracks on black road wheels with visible metal axles. The design includes a rotating turret and a main gun barrel fitted with a translucent red bulb. Surface details include moulded-in tools such as shovels and axes, alongside vents and a commander’s hatch. The tank is operated via a tethered handheld remote control unit connected by a long black electrical cable. The remote is labelled Field Command and FC9338, featuring four directional pads and two red buttons for Fire and Ready functions. The base of the tank is embossed with a stylised concentric ECHO logo, Copyright 1984, and Made in China. Decals include the word ARMY in white block letters on the turret, a yellow circular decal with the number 88, and rectangular decals marked FC9338.
